Brink is a fast-paced sci-fi shooter, taking place on a land called The Ark. The story is about the human race being flooded out of their home land, (caused by global warming, I assume) and resorting to building a new land on top of the water, called The Ark. After some time, chaos grew within the city. To maintain order, The Ark was divided into two divisions: The Resistance and The Security. In the Resistance, your goal is to confront the forces of The Security, finding a way to escape the Ark, in search of other thriving lands. In The Security, your goal is stop these outbursts of fighting, caused by The Resistance, and save The Ark. Personally, I prefer The Resistance.
When I first got the game, I thought it would be a great story. In fact, I think both campaigns are very well done. I decided to play as The Resistance, first. The campaign felt very short, as I finished it in 1-2 days (non-stop playing). After you complete one campaign, you are allowed to move on to the second. I just started it a few days ago, and I am hoping to finish it within 2-3 days (homework pushes me back).
For gun customization, I felt it was SLIGHTLY primitive. You can customize the under-barrel attachments, type of magazine, sight, and muzzle. I was slightly disappointed, as I looked forward to designing the type of skin my gun had. But hey, not all games can be perfect.
For all of you who haven't gotten this game, get it. I got it for around $13.00 at Gamestop, and I thought it was a great deal. For those of you who DO own the game, I look forward to shooting your face online.
The one and only, Lostrokk.
